Yes! Logistics Solutions welcome a new Financial Controller to the Executive Management Team

Jan 26, 2021

Yes! Logistics Solutions have welcomed Stephanie Cowley to the group as Financial Controller. Stephanie will partner Managing Director, Jo Davidson in driving the organization forward to new opportunities.

Stephanie joins Yes! Logistics Solutions from Leicester Tigers where she has been the Financial Controller and Head of Management Information and Systems for the past 11 years and played a leading role in system improvements, financial modelling and partnering commercial teams in new product development.

Having been born and raised in Rugby, Stephanie is delighted to be back in her home town. “Rugby is at the forefront of logistics. Not only due to the location and distribution network, but the labour market and development potential make this area a prime location for serving our existing customers and developing new solutions for new challenges.”

Stephanie qualified as a Chartered Accountant in practice, but later made the move to industry, working in Leamington Spa before moving to Leicester Tigers. “Obviously, Yes! Logistics Solutions is far removed from the world of professional rugby, however, there are also similarities – Yes! Logistics Solutions is a fast-moving, reactive and proactive organization who demands high standards and commitment for everyone involved.”

Stephanie has joined Kate Aitken to provide finance support for the business and liaise with our Group and fellow subsidiaries. Kate has been in the organization for a number of years, having previously worked at Study Inn, University of Warwick and GE. Her role at Yes! has recently expanded her role to incorporate all finance requirements while she continues to achieve her CIMA qualifications.

Speaking about the recent appointment and finance restructure, Jo Davidson said “With the launch of the new brand and the consolidation of the businesses under the same umbrella, it is vital that we have an efficient and consistent level of financial support. The past year has brought challenges to the business – both financial and operational – that we never envisaged we would be facing, and an agile and reactive team is absolutely essential to support us as we navigate our way through a Covid and post-Brexit world. I believe we have that team in place!”
